Weather

The snow is here in great quantity and winter is certainly here. Its a beautiful time to fly , launching in crisp new snow and flying above the snow plastered pine forests with snow capped peaks all around us. Temperatures are usually quite comfortable but you need to be well clothed but it is no colder than going skiing. The weather at this time of year is more settled, flying conditions are usually smooth with some thermals, allowing our passengers to take the controls and become the pilot !

Brevent / Planpraz

During the winter season we launch at 2000m from the snowy slopes of Planpraz above the snow capped pine forests and fly high above Chamonix with superb views of the Europes highest mountain: the Mont Blanc and also the biggest icefall in Europe: the glacier des Bossons. Landing at the foot of the gondola in the Chamonix valley

Flights at 10h, 11h, 12h,13h, 14h, 15h each day.
1000m vertical descent, ax 20 mins flight time.
100 Euros plus lift ticket (11.50 Euros)

Aiguille du Midi 3842m

Probably THE most dramatic lift served flight in the French Alps and often cited by enthusiastic solo pilots as one of the most dramatic flights in the world! A miniature expedition using crampons & with a mountain guide to access the launch area followed by a smooth aerial journey amidst the snow & ice adorned high alpine peaks and glaciers of the Mont Blanc massif. Not for the faint hearted !
Flights early morning each day.
2700m vertical descent, 30 – 40 mins flight time depending upon weather conditions.
(Whole event time around two hours thirty). Cost: 220 Euros plus lift ticket , mountain guide services included.
